Trump has declared a trade war on multiple fronts and he's already backed off. because his handlers have pointed out the obvious. America needs free trade as much as its trading partners do.

Canada and Mexico's "border deals" were clearly a measure to help him save face, since they effectively changed little about our border arrangements.
