Again, you asked for proof because you claimed there was "no evidence." This is what I'm talking about. This is, as I said, a quintessentially privileged thing to do. "I haven't seen it, prove it exists."
It's not a simple question, it's a white man who doesn't have to deal with discrimination demanding people who do prove it to him. And the fact that you think your one-sided, subjective experience somehow takes precedence over what others have experience is also a classic white privilege move.
Also, having a drop of Indigenous blood (not "Indian") in you doesn't mean you're not white. Having distant ancestors from Brazil doesn't either. I also have Iroquois in my ancestry, but that doesn't change the fact that I am visibly Caucasian and have had a sheltered existence as a result.
Race is a social construct, so if you appear white and are treated as such, that's that! And having friends who are minorities also doesn't qualify you to know what it's like for them to experience it either. If it did, I would be an expert by now!
Last, you keep saying no proof was offered. Did you even bother to follow the links provided by the author throughout?
These all lead to source material that illustrates how discrimination persists. If you're not going to examine the evidence offered, you're in no position to say it doesn't exist or wasn't shown.
Also, I just did provide evidence, as requested - studies and journalistic investigations that show how discrimination against minorities and women persists across multiple industries.
