Bingo! The people pushing the Russian narrative make the same exact argument regarding Ukraine! "The US is forcing this war on the Ukrainians!" Not only is it blatantly stupid given that Russia is the one who invaded and refuses to pull back, but it assumes that Ukrainians keep fighting to make the US happy.
