Except that all of these polls indicated that both Sanders and Clinton had a massive lead on Trump, and they don't take into account Clinton's lead on Sanders. At the end of the day, Hillary won the nomination because more Americans and were convinced of her "electability" over Sanders. Worse than that, they can’t account for the role of the DNC hack or the 11th hour declaration by James Comey.
Anyone capable of reading and doing basic math can see that this was the decisive factor in the election. It reduced Clinton’s 7 point lead to a just over 3 percent, which was reflected in the exit polling (3 million more popular votes = 3% of registered voters).

The fact remains, Sanders was never going to secure the 2016 or 2020 nomination. Blaming Clinton or Obama for that is just plain asinine and sour grapes, as is pretending that things would have worked out better if some alternative scenario somehow played out. The entire notion that Clinton or Obama somehow paved the way for Trump is asinine fantasy. The truth is, undecideds and “never Hillary” Sanders martyrs allowed Trump to win and that’s the statistical truth. Sanders himself told his supporters to vote for Clinton, but many chose to cut of their noses to spite their faces.
Tell yourself whatever you need to if it helps. But the fact is, you’re the ones to blame for Trump’s victory and America’s descent into fascism and now, you’re looking to blame someone else because you can’t admit that your naivete and pettiness made you “useful idiots” to the far right. I would have hoped you’d learned something from the experience, but much like the KPD of Wiemar Germany, you’re blinded by ideology and too busy fighting the last war to notice the existential struggle in front of you.
Frankly, its pathetic that you would blame Democrats for the state of progressive politics in your country. You’re puritanism and self-sabotage makes you losers, and is the reason why Republican politics have dominated America for over forty years!
