Except that the U.S. was taken by complete surprise by the invasion and was incredibly slow and measured to extend military aid, lagging behind NATO and the EU. If this were an imperial ambition, they would intervened directly instead of sitting on the fence for years and only committing after it was clear that Putin was losing badly.

Also, the Trump administration hasn’t even declared a policy regarding a peace agreement. They are in total chaos and disarray and have been making completely contradictory statements, so claiming they’ve already “shafted” Ukraine is entirely inaccurate.

Worst of all is the argument that Ukraine and Zelensky deserve the shaft based on the erroneous assumption that they’re losing and that the U.S. is responsible for the war! If I didn’t know better, I would say this entire article was a case of Putin-apologism.
