I must reiterate what Bob said. Trump knew full well those were his people and that they were doing precisely what he told them to. He even ordered security to let them in at one point because, his words, “they’re not here to kill me.”
The lie about Antifa and FBI agents was an obvious one that I doubt that anyone on the far right actually believed. These are people accustomed to knowingly spreading “alternative facts.”
