To paraphrase AJP Taylor, "Nothing is inevitable until it happens." By people refusing to vote, they made the fall to isolationism, white supremacy, and "technofeudalism" more likely. The time to build solidarity was in 2024, but millions of Americans clung to notions of purity, cynicism, and "anti-establishment" rhetoric.

People had a choice, and this was the result. Saying "it was inevitable" is the biggest cop-out ever issued, and has been used to excuse genocide, slavery, wars, and other terrible crimes against humanity
