Transgender people didn’t make sexual identity and pronouns a national issue. That was Republicans who demanded a “Bathroom Bill” because they desperately needed a wedge issue to rile up their base. The same is true of gay couples wanting to get married. It was made into a national issue by the GOP and their pushing of DOMA.

Comparing people who are fighting for equality and recognition, mainly because others are trying to take it from them, to MAGAts is not only asinine, it’s incredibly unfair and potentially harmful. This “both sides” crap is how America has failed to do anything about the rise of fascism in its midst.
