Well put. I myself was a supporter of Israel until I realized they were behaving as an occupying force and the parallels between their actions and those of colonial nations like the U.S. and Canada. The same combination of denial, minimizing, and historical amnesia are at work. Hell, even the policy of building settlements and pretending the inhabitants just “left” are there.

What is unique is the fabrications that if Israel folds up and it’s population emigrates, they will be returning to the conditions they fled in Europe. This is patently false and easily disproven by a simple comparison: where are Jewish citizens most safe? Israel or Europe and other developed countries?

Also, the excuse that force, occupation, embargoes, and a nuclear monopoly must be maintained to ensure Israeli “security” is eerily reminiscent of another historic crimes - slavery in America. From Andrew Jackson to Calhoun to Stephen’s Cornerstone Speech, southern slavers tried to justify slavery by claiming that if freed, the slaves would revolt and enslave White people.

Then and now, the criminals must pretend their crimes are necessary to prevent becoming victims themselves. Then and now, it’s a sad excuse and total bs.
