Yes, I imagine she is real, but there have been some severe misinformation campaigns on behalf of Russia and anyone in the Donbas region who supports annexation. They are hardly above using this young woman as a "front person."

I have been reading the accounts shared by apologists and pro-Russian writers since 2014. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of legitimate grievances and innocent people suffering. But in the end, their testimonials are tainted by the fact that they serve a terrible person and agenda.
