You make a good point and it bolsters what the author is saying, really. Racism is about power, the ability to institutionalize bigotry and ensure authority is assigned based on skin color and cultural background.

That's what makes "reverse racism" such a sham. Power, wealth, and privilege continues to be concentrated in the hands of white men in America. Hence, the idea that they somehow face discrimination for being white is asinine.

There is no equivalence between a Black man making fun of White people or calling a man a "Cracker" and a White guy dropping the N-bomb. The words are mere insult, but where power is concerned, its insult added to injury.
