You’re pulling a “no True Scotsman” fallacy, my friend. The Evangelical movement in the US has made its position very clear on women and gays, not to mention trans people. They actively lobby and spend millions trying to ensure that none of these people have the rights that you so richly enjoy.

Also, the irony you are seeing is presumed, and out of necessity. Of course you would equate criticizing the excesses and abuses of your religion “discrimination,” but that’s little better than saying “I know you are, but what are we?”

You can argue that you don’t hate, but if your religiously-prescribed views is that certain people are “unnatural” or that they have their place in some imagined hierarchy, you are being a hypocrite.
